Inspiration needed for Christmas cake decorating

Have Googled until I'm bored, can't find anything inspiring.

How are you decorating yours?

I always do ours the same - very very thick homemade marzipan with homemade peaky icing and a fat old fashioned ribbon tied around it like a present.

My Mum is much more artistic and far trendier than me and has done this...

There are some quite nice ones on that link teafor. I think your mum's is a bit beyond me!

I've recently gone over to soft fondant icing (because people cried over their teeth when I used hard icing, the wimps) with ivy leaves, in white, arranged in a wreath on top. Very classy-looking, though not original!

what style do you like?

I like Christmas to look all handmade, cute and fingerprinty... my sister is 'funky fun' and my Mum 'no touch awe and wonder sophistication' but what do you like???
