Keeping safe this Christmas

Saw this and thought I should spread the word.

Can't imagine losing everything, esp at Christmas - will definitely be unplugging my lights.

i always unplug the one set, and turn the other 2 sets off at the socket. common sense i would have thought.

It's not something I ever thought about before - Just presumed it was the same kind of power as a nightlight or like leaving a TV on standby...
