Do they really last up until the age of 5?

They don't look very big.

Yep, in fact my 8 yo neice still managed to squeeze into ours this summer :)

SpotSplatterSplash · 09/12/2010 16:11

Ok, good going! I am very tempted to get the red sparkly one for DD.

My boys love theirs. They are 6 and 3 and its the first thing they go to, one inside one on, behind or hanging off the front...great fun :)

BangingNoise · 09/12/2010 19:17

Yep, and well after too!

smokinaces · 09/12/2010 19:22

definately. DS1 is 4 and a bit and the size of a 5-6 year old and loves playing in it.

SpotSplatterSplash · 09/12/2010 20:03

Thank you Smile.

I ordered the red sparkly one- it's reduced on Amazon at the moment. DD will love it for her Birthday.

SpotSplatterSplash · 10/12/2010 07:44

Did you have a code for free delivery? Maybe you had a bigger order.

They were charging me a fiver.

OP posts:
sazm · 10/12/2010 09:05

SpotSplatterSplash · 10/12/2010 20:44

That explains it! I only wanted the car. I would have been too tempted to spend over fifty Smile

Yes! They all try to squeeze into our decades old model, right up to 9 years old!

You will get loads of use out of it, they are fantastic value for money, children love them.

ArentFanny · 10/12/2010 20:54

My nephews are still doing mad stunts in theirs, age 12, 10 and 8

Topspin · 11/12/2010 13:13

My boys and their friends also carried on doing mad stunts in this until they were 8 and 12 (bought it for DS1 when he was 3 so it had an incredibly good innings)!

SpotSplatterSplash · 11/12/2010 20:44

Music to my ears, thanks Grin

Got one of these for DS2's birthday recently (he's 3) but my 6 yr old fits in it and they have a great time playing with it together.

DH wasn't convinced about getting it but it's one of the things they play with most.

gillybean2 · 12/12/2010 05:42

Ds 11 still uses his (mostly to climb on now as he can't squish into it any more). He refuses to allow me to get rid of it.
It's nice when younger children come and visit too.
When he first got it he and his friend would climb in together, though the door didn't always shut if they did!

Catchthewind · 12/12/2010 05:55

One tip - put it together BEFORE Christmas day, it is a real bugger especially the wheel axle caps.

There will be swearing Xmas Grin

sazm · 12/12/2010 09:33

ooh lovely catchthewind lol!
thanks for the warning,we had a tractor that was a pita because of the wheel clips too, took AGES!!!
thankfully we plan to build this week then hide it lol!!!

Catchthewind · 12/12/2010 09:37

it is a bit hard to hide

But better than doing it on the day Smile

sazm · 12/12/2010 09:57

lol, we have a good hiding place thankfully lol! we also have a great big wooden kitchen to build and hide, dnt fancy trying to build that either on xmas eve lol!!
