If I make some shortbread biscuits, and half-dip them in Chocolate, how long do you think they'll keep?

I have some presents to post out and want to know how far in advance I could do this?

Thanks in advance,
xx

I have to say I'm not sure because if you made them in this house they would keep for about 5 minutes Grin
A finger proof air tight container should help to keep them fresher longer.

You could make the dough ahead and freeze it. I made some lemon semolina shortbread a few months ago and froze half the dough. Came across it emptying freezer for Christmas and sliced it up and cooked them a few weeks back. They are still crisp in an airtight container.

Your only problem will be the chocolate. As its not tempered, it will go whitish within a week or so.

I avoid chocolate on presents for this reason. I make cranberry and macadamia cookies and this year am also going to do some cranberry and pistachio shortbreads. Both should keep a good few weeks.
