Just wondering how much you and dc spend on dp and vice versa?

bluedolphin the amount isn't important.

Christmas isn't about spending money.

Spend what you can afford, don't worry about what others spend.

well said overmy Xmas Smile

FunnysInTheGarden · 04/12/2010 22:34

whatever we feel like. Max £150 each, and usually much less

groak · 04/12/2010 22:35

I spent £24 on ds (2yr), £50 on dd (4yr) and £29 on dh.

I would love some £25 shoes from dh for meee!

FunnysInTheGarden · 04/12/2010 22:40

oh and max £50 on each DC

DandyDan · 04/12/2010 22:40

About £25 total.

duchesse · 04/12/2010 22:45

£50 tops per child (usually about £35-40 + stocking filler type things). They are 17, 15, 13 and 1.

Trebuchet · 04/12/2010 22:48

About £20 each on the kids and about £40 on each other-grown up gifts just cost a bit moreGrin

TBH me and dh dont really buy each other much,we spend about £250 on each of the dc (theres 3 of them) and maybe £20 on each other, we usually buy ourselves something in the sales (bought a new sofa in jan last yr,this yr it will be a new car :) )

TaffyandTeenyTaffy · 05/12/2010 01:07

We usually set a budget depending on how flush we are feeling and we have to buy a couple of things to open. This year its £30 as we have recently had to buy a new laptop.

We are also each buying £30 of pressies for DS (9months) so that we have more surprises - did this last year when I was 6 months pregnant (as we had not bought anything at that stage) and it was really nice.... and worked out well as he was born at 33 weeks and I spent all of January in and out of hospital
