Quick question about a gift

Hi, I'm not a parent but hope it is OK just to ask a quick question?

I'm not sure what to get my nephew (15 months) for Christmas and wondered if anyone had any good ideas. I buy him toys and books from time to time anyway and so for his birthday bought him a proof set from the Royal Mint that he will hopefully appreciate when he's older. I was thinking of doing something similar for Christmas but I'm a bit stuck for ideas. Or should I just get him something age appropriate as it's Christmas and not his birthday? Any ideas gratefully received!

This is my favourite thing to buy for one to two year olds - have bought for a few nieces and nephews as well as my own children.

Totally fab and he will enjoy it all this year but also nice to keep. We have them in the loft awaiting grandchildren in the future and still looking pristine despite having been used by three children.

You don't mention budget though so apologies if this is not a good idea.

Our ds loved his Postman Pat soft toys. Still does. They're quite small and cost about £8.

He's having a Pat van for Christmas.

What about a bath activity centre, at 15mo will have the dexterity to play with all the various bits. Look at the Early Learning Centre website, under Baby and Toddler, bath toys; or in their shops.

Oops! I hadn't really thought about a budget. He's my only nephew and the only child I'll be buying for. Some great ideas though! Thank you

Thank you everyone for some really great suggestions. It's certainly given me something to think about. I like the idea of a slide, but as they currently live in a first floor flat it might have to wait :) The activity centre might be a good choice, he loves bath time!
