Christmas Buffet Ideas

I am hosting a Ladies Night In next week and it is custom to have a buffet style meal prepared.

Since most of the guests are American, I would like to make something evocative of a typical British Christmas.

I will make Mince Pies, and have a fab Xmas Cake for dessert, but am a bit stuck on savoury treats.

It is not a sit down meal so needs to be snack sized bites.

Any ideas?

Most certainly am doing alcohol. Was going to do Glühwein as a nod to my DH.

The above is nice I used to make it every Christmas until there was an awareness of drink driving, it is quite English and Wassail is from the Toast Waes Hael or Good Health if I remember my food history it is Anglo-Saxon but I would also never refuse Gluhwein

Will there be any vegetarians? Most of this is very meat-heavy!

I suppose you could do a veggie version of the little Yorkshire puddings, maybe with roasted vege inside?

And of course, there will be lots of cheese!
