I usually go to see my sister and her family , where i do absolutely nothing but loll about and stuff my face, and the kids disappear with hers for hours on end

It's like a day at a spa

Not sure if i will this year though, because in between last december and this one coming i got myself a bf and we may be going to see his family instead

posey · 27/11/2010 20:13

We live in London and tend to go to one of the central parks for a walk. I love to see all the new bikes, scooters, coats, jumpers...then head home all glowing for a warming sherry Smile

cece · 27/11/2010 20:21

Sopping in the Sales. I have no idea what DH and the kids do all morning! In the afternoon we go for a walk.

hockeypuck · 27/11/2010 20:23

We tend to see whichever set of parents we didn't spend Christmas Day with.
This year we are going to my parents for lunch then my mum is taking us all to the Pantomime, which we did last year too.

CherryTheRedNosedMonster · 27/11/2010 20:35

we have an open house thing every boxing day. buffet laid out, drinks and fun for friends and family.

mmmmmchocolate · 27/11/2010 20:53

Eat crap.
Watch TV.
Nap.
:)

Parents and PIL are coming Xmas eve this year so I can get it out of the way and spend the day and boxing day doing exactly what we want. I may not even bother getting dressed.

lou33 · 27/11/2010 21:00

mummyshreddingnora · 27/11/2010 21:02

gregssausageroll · 27/11/2010 21:32

I've got 18 on Boxing Day this year!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 27/11/2010 21:38

Go to Oxford st for the sales :o

DiscoDaisy · 27/11/2010 21:42

We do absolutely nothing and it's great! We shut our front door on christmas eve and open it again the day after boxing day.
The rest of the year we are so busy rushing around here and there so for 2 days we hide from the world. Smile

lou33 · 27/11/2010 21:43

ooh excellent!

we can sit on the floor and my youngest has his own seat seeing as he uses a wheelchair so that will make it easier Grin

Watch the football, over 90 minutes other errant dh's join mine released from other duties at other homes. Kids play. Turkey sandwiches etc are eaten.

I love boxing day.*

*now I don't have go to to work on it anymore. That sucked.

muminthecity · 27/11/2010 21:47

We stay at my parents' house from the day before xmas eve until the day after boxing day. On boxing day the whole family stay in our pyjamas all day, watch DVDs and eat leftovers. Noone ever leaves the house on boxing day!

KangarooCaught · 27/11/2010 21:53

Used to go to see a game, usually football, but it's a bit too long and cold for preschoolers.

Children are usually pantomimed out by then, thanks to school and the ILs.

An thinking some kind of cheesy show.

CherryTheRedNosedMonster · 27/11/2010 22:33

lou- what are the kids ages? mine are ds's 11 and 9 and dd's 5 and 4. they are pretty easy to get on with, and my mum will be here so will probably get all the kids playing some silly game or another

IlanaK · 27/11/2010 22:40

We go to the zoo (London) every boxing day.

FrostyBaubles · 28/11/2010 08:39

I will be working all day, then my Mum & Dad are coming round in the evening for a buffet tea.

2gorgeousboys · 28/11/2010 09:15

We do Christmas Day again with DSS and usually go to PIL's and get together with DH's family.

27th is our wedding anniversary so we usually go for a walk and then come back to have mulled wine and mincepies before packing DS's off to bed and I drink fizz whilst DH cooks something nice for the 2 of us.
