New PJs for christmas eve

Does anyone else have new PJs for Xmas eve? In our house, one of santas elves visit while DD is in the bath on Xmas eve, and leaves 2 wrapped up pressies- a new pair of PJs and a christmassy book. My friend is extending this even further now, and her elves leave a christmas eve hamper! This has the PJs in, a book, a family DVD to watch, a fleece blanket each for the kids, new mugs and a snowman soup to go in.

Does anyone else do this sort of thing?

I think christmas eve is better than christmas day. Seems more magical somehow, all that anticipiation.

We also have new pj for christmas eve, have been doing it for 20 years.

First we go to the crib service at church and then come home and open a christmas eve present, pjs wooly socks for dcs and a family game for everyone.

We have a pizza takeaway, put on new pjs (i always give mine a bath in the morning on christmas eve) then we play the game and older ones watch a christmassy dvd before bed.

Remembering to also put out snacks for SantaGrin.

I also love Christmas eve, it is sooo magical.

How do you make reindeer food? Might try that this year, DD wants to leave things out for Santa, something shes never actually done before.

This year dd (5) will be with her dad (sob) and so I am putting together a Christmas Eve package for her to enjoy as exh and his mum are not quite as Christmassy as me lol.

I have bought her a lovely Christmassy pair of snuggly pjs, a Christmas book for exh to read to her, a door hanger and window sticker showing FC where to leave the pressies and a little packet of "magic" reindeer food . I will wrap it up with a note to open before bed on Christmas Eve.

Christmas will be a bit quiet without my baby this year :(. But next year I'll have dd at home and dc2 (a little boy due in Jan 2011) to have a fantabulous Christmas with. Can't wait!

I think a lot of this is WAY OTT.

But then I am horrible frugal.

Mine have the PJs but they are delivered to grandads house as we are there xmas eve and it always appears on the hearth as he has a proper fireplace.

We do new pjs on Xmas eve, too.
It is dc3's first Xmas (though she will only be 11 weeks), so DH will be taking pics on Xmas morning probably - I like to make sure we all look decent!![sad cow]Xmas Grin
