Has anybody received their email from MN Secret Santa?

I can't remember what the timescales were.

I emailed MNHQ to donate and I received confirmation from them, but I haven't received a match yet.

Am I being previous?

Oh, good idea Mumoverseas.

I sent another SS present today from Emma Bridgewater and they definitely do put details. I've a feeling White Company have an option to not include the sender's details. Somewhere I've shopped in the last week definitely had that option.

Bucharest Ideally, stick to what you donated in the first place as you were matched according to your donation IYSWIM. But, there is nothing to stop you sending a little extra if you can or making the voucher a little smaller and getting a little gift. The nominees only know that they have been nominated not what they are getting.

People get an email saying they were nominated and asking for details of their kids' ages/what would be suitable, sort of thing (I think)

So they know they've been nominated.

TheLogLady · 26/11/2010 07:37

what i offered does not match what has been e-mailed me at all. does that matter? do I just send what i was ging to or change?

OpheliaBumps · 26/11/2010 12:53

I've got mine but am now in a flap as I offered vouchers, but my recip lives somewhere small so I don't know what vouchers to send

jammietart · 26/11/2010 13:40

Ophelia I said I'd send vouchers and now am wondering what sort. Think I'm going to do M&S or similar and the mumsnetter who is receiving can use as she sees fit iyswim.

TopsyAndTimsAndAnother3 · 26/11/2010 13:46

I've got mine Smile, will send off tomorrow before cash runs out so it's nice and early.

Valpollicella · 26/11/2010 14:00

Ophelia, they can probably used online I expect, even if there isn't an outlet nearby, fret not! Grin

I started another thread, someone suggested Amazon which is great as they've got a lovely range of toys and free delivery for most things.

BrandyButterPie · 26/11/2010 14:10

I was just about to say - Amazon is great, you can leave your details off the note and they sell practically everything :)

blushingm · 26/11/2010 15:08

can i just boast!!!!

I got my email yesterday and have already ordered and arranged delivery to my nominated mn'er

mumoverseas · 26/11/2010 15:54

WentBlank · 26/11/2010 16:17

I offered gift or vouchers ....I was thinking of sending some Tesco's vouchers - then they can buy either food or gifts. I looked up to see how far the nearest tescos was.

mumoverseas · 29/11/2010 11:57

yay! Have sent mine today Grin

Is it too late to join in? I love buying presents for people!

mumoverseas · 30/11/2010 05:07

yep, too late now for this one but there was a thread on charities recently about being an 'elf' for sick children. Might not be too late for that
