what are you getting your dad for Christmas?

Following on from the mum thread please can you share your fab xmas present ideas for your dad's? My dad is the main person I really struggle with each year and so any inspiration would be very gratefully received!

Well, the Times one too costly for us (and FIL even tighter so would feel bad) but have had him sent a decent road atlas which he will love, thanks.

If anyone has a techy / gadget mad dh or dad I can recomment electronic gadgets for teh evil genius as dh's gift copy justa rrived and it looks fab.

Thanks to the theatre tix suggestions, I am now taking my Dad to see Fela as his xmas present. And Mum and partner will be going to see Yes Prime Minister.

I have bought my dad the box set of 'New Tricks' and a photo calednar I got from Photobox.

My dad is an awkard bugger and this year i thought i would be useful and have got him a jumper. Not much at the mo so it is burnt orange, 100% cotton, £15 and from M & S

My dad wants a Kindle, so will be clubbing together with mum and sis to fulfil that one. Soon I will be the only one in the family without one, but as a book fetishist I'm fine with that.

Mamavoo - glad I could help I was really pleased with that book, it's the purchase I'm most proud of this year! It looks gorgeous.

The Times atlas is v cheap on The Book People. Unfortunately the huge Times History book is still 60 squid. I really wanted to get it for my dad but it's way too much. I think there's a reasonably new book out about the Peasants' Revolt - may try and seek that out instead.
