Im after a stocking hanger to go on the fireplace for DD2's stocking. (Her first xmas)

A few yrs back I bought DD1's one from Debenhams but dont like the gingerbread man one they have this year.

Anyone seen any nice ones?
Preferably Cast Iron.

I have seen lots in T K Maxx. All different sorts in different type of metals with different figures on top like Santa, snowman, angels etc

i dont have a fireplace. i have a sideboard where the fire used to be, and will hang stockings on the drawer handles! (only place they can go)

Yes TKMaxx is the only place I've seen them. The designs are variable though in terms of nice/naff...

Anyone know how much weight they can bear? Eg would one be ok to hold 3 empty stockings?

Decorhate · 14/11/2010 16:25

I'm a bit Shock at the price of the Lands End one. TKMaxx usually less that a tenner...

gillybean2 · 14/11/2010 18:49

The landsend ones are pewter and the price includes having them engraved with a name up to 10 letters... They are also strong enough to hold a filled stocking. The design is on both sides.

If you want one that can't hold your stocking once it's filled, (and may only just when it's not) then go for the cheaper ones for sure Grin

Well all the ones in TK maxx were Broken!

Any other ideas anyone?

After something kiddyish. DD1's has a Santa on it.

My TK Maxx still has lots (unbroken!). I saw some in Wilkinsons today but not really childrens designs - they all had words like "Joy", "Noel", etc

gillybean2 · 19/11/2010 14:02

Don't like the ones I suggested from landsend then I take it. Least they won't break...

pigleychez · 19/11/2010 18:41

Gilly they are nice and all but not exactly what im after. Bit too expensive to get them both one too.

Id like something with a christmas character or something on to match DD1's.

Anyone else seen any on thier travels?
