I asked for lists, got them and DD3 wanted a kitchen.
She's never really had anything like it before so I bought a neutral coloured one for her as she's 6 and it is a bit babyish but I figured she would play with it for 12 months and then DS could have it when he got bigger (he's 6 months).
However today they've found the old playmobil and the little lady wants the school set.
For:
a) it's smaller and won't take up half my living room.
b) it's more age appropriate so she'll play with it when her friends come over.
Against:
a) we have tons of sylvannia in the loft which is rarely touched.
b) it's iddy bitty bits will be a chocking hazard for DS so it'll have to stay in the bedrooms which sometimes they will play in but usually they want to bring it into the lounge.
WWYD - I think I can still send back the kitchen and they were a similar price.
