As a family we have zero in the form of games technology

But dd1 (7) has started on about a DS or a Wii for Christmas

I need to know:

Are they worth it - will the dds get into it aged 4 and 7?

What is better for a 7yr old, a DS or a Wii?

Am truly clueless. Don't even know where to go to buy something like that

Well, we have both a Wii and DSs, they do both have their uses. I think your dd will probably know which one she wants!

Thanks, that's useful!

Re using a DS on journeys etc... DD1 can't do anything in a car that requires concentration or she pukes. Listening to music is all she can manage

I do like the idea of something that will remain in the communal area, tbh (as they are still little)

Thankyou all, you have started to open my eyes to games technology Grin

www.amazon.co.uk/UBI-Soft-Just-Dance-Wii/dp/B002O3W3V0 is good for girls but mine love Mario Kart as well.
