What do your kids want for Xmas?

DS(7) wants a DS and I am really torn. I haver thus far resisted but he is asking a lot now. Not sure whether to cave in. Going to do some research - I'm thinking games like Prof Layton look OK but is it a slippery slope? Aaargh. I said what if Santa doesn't have any DS's? He said I'll have a Wii. Oops. Bad question.

DD (4) wants a disembodied head and shoulders thing you brush and style the hair on.

Dinah - DD has this one and adores it. Its lovely quality, its allowed in my kitchen . Its nice and compact. Ignore the comments on Amazon re quality - DD has played with this every day for 18 months and its still in brilliant nick.

DinahRod - We just got our DD's one from Sainsbury's think it was about £25 - bargain ! Makes all sorts of noises and talks (in English not American !)

Taffetacat, that is so cute but a bit too wee for all the kitchen accessories she has, if only it was a bit bigger it would be perfect.

DS wants a buzz that has wings but im no way spending £40 on one of them, dd wants a guitar which i said over my dead body but dh thinks we should oblige.

ohforfoxsake - does she mean rosie from thomas the tank engine. Amazon and toys'r'us do them.

Ds1 (6)- a bug smasher, lego and a spiderman webshooter.

Ds2 (5) - same plus everything in the shop. And a castle. he probably will get the castle, but not the contents of the shop. Any shop, he's indiscriminate.

DD1(6) - cannot decide somedays it's Polly Pocket others it's Barbie

DD2(5) - Terrordactyl dinosaur that spits grubs at you! and that Strawberry Stables horse and stable (shudder)

DD3(2) - loves the dancing Teletubbies on TV so have gotten her one of those.

DS (6mo) - is getting a first garage which he is too young for but will grow into, we have a loft full of baby toys so he doesn't really need anything.

DD 4.5 wants a sweet shop, moon dough and a DS of her own. (She is getting a leapster, a casdon play sweet shop and some moon dough)
