angel/star for tree

I have been hankering after a really lovely star or angel for the top of my tree for ages. But I can't seem to find one I really like. Anyone got any recommendations?

I am pretty fussy; I would love a glass star or a traditional Victorian-esque angel. Don't like cartoon angels, anything that looks like a barbie, glitter, tinsel, holographic paper etc etc.

House is Victorian flat; fairly traditional decorations on tree - glass baubles, other decorations in green/red/gold, no tinsel!

Please help!

We were at a garden centre during half term which had some lovely tree toppers designed by Gisela Graham - there is a website here.

Hmm, not a massive fan of Gisela Graham - it falls into my 'cartoon' category. Some of it is nice - the very scandinavian stuff.

Iklboo - wow - £50! Would definitely have to hit the receipt for that one. I might see if I can check it out in the shop but it's more snowflake than star

Oh, definitely some option on that christmastime website. I take it back: I quite like some of the GG stuff. The twiggy star is lovely and also quite like this angel too. I can imagine being a little girl and getting really excited at looking at that at the top of the tree (no kids yet).

You guys are great. Keep them coming!

I've spent ages looking for an angel - I ended up buying a 'vintage' one on eBay.

We have the archbishop of canterbury in lovely red robes (from canterbury cathedral gift shop Grin)
