I am getting ds one for christmas (and the xbox itself but that's second hand)... it's the first christmas I've EVER been able to spend more than £40 on him so I'm going all out Blush

just wondered if anyone else is joining the madness?

They are selling out on pre-order so if you're thinking of getting one it would be wise to get it sooner rather than later.

get it from Game; they're the only ones with guarunteed stock / delivery of pre-orders apparently

I thought you could just pop along to any shop and pick one up, silly me!

I am thinking about getting DS one, but I just don't know if its worth it. We have a Wii and he has the Xbox (plus xbox live), does he really need kinect?
Its the most sensible thing he has asked for so far, the rest of his stupid ideas are PS3 (why when we have Wii, Xbox, DS), and he is desperate for Black Ops, which is an 18 game. As he is only 8, he won't be getting it.

We have it on preorder but the reviews don't look very good. We have a wii and i don't think the games are as good for kinect.

I watched some kids playing it in a store and it seemed to take them ages to get used to it. I'm waiting until closer to the time, but will probably go for some new wii/dsi games instead and we get every piece of new technology going!

Currys and PC world had them in stock this weekend where I live. I have been in two minds about it. You need quite a lot of room to play with it.....fine for living room but not DS's bedroom. They look like fun though.

I was considering getting it for DS but have just read that you need to stad 6foot from the sensor. DS has the xbox in his room and he doesn't have a spare 6 foot infront of the tv so that kind of puts that present out of the window.

Oh well, back to the drawing board Grin
