I realised earlier when I was doing a shopping-so-far inventory that I've finished the Christmas shopping. [hshock]

Actually I do need to get one ds game for ds1, but that's it.

Wow! I haven't even thought about it yet! I just bought a pumpkin for dh to carve for Halloween....

Actually Porto I'm sure someone will rock up in a minute claiming they did theirs in June.

I don't even know where to start.. And am usually the one all organised and finished by June!

We have St Nicolas first too, 6th December. DD sits watching the TV and says, I want that, I really want that, I have ALWAYS wanted that......

Tis handy being abroad. At some point my sister gives me a call and I order all dnephews' pressies from Amazon with direct delivery to them. I don't have that many people to buy for though. M&S usually covers everyone else - again with delivery. DH and I usually buy "ourselves" something.

So really the only shopping I do is for dd.

Bought all mine in the January sales.

Back to carving the pumpkin I suppose! On a seriouser note, I am worried about dosh this year, so there has been a raid of the present drawer - using up some of that, rather than buying other stuff.

I don't have many to buy for either, Porto. St Nicklaus is a lovely thing to have!

I am all done (aside from the wii, but we only decided to definately get it last night) even started a bit of food shopping and all cards are written and sorted into piles.

it nice to get it all done early, that way you spread the cost and come december you have more time to enjoy xmas. i was a restaurant mananger pre-ds and the only time i had to xmas shop was half an hour on the 23rd.

PortoFango - where are you? We have Sinter Klaas too - on 5th December :) DH is dutch but we live in UK. DCs are convinced they get twice as many christmas's as everyone else (we celebrate both) but in fact I split gifts between the 2 events. They confuse the hell out of class mates though - excitedly telling all that St Nicholaas will be leaving them gifts in their shoe each day (we do 30th Nov - 5 Dec). Cue lots of miffed children going home demanding that they leave their shoe by the fire too!

To answer OP: Congratulations. Am v jealous. Make sure you get that last gift soon though - there is always something which I think "oh yeah will pick that up some time" and then forget until 23 Dec!

Technically i have now finished christmas shopping but as i decided to make most of my christmas presents I have a very large pile of half made presents

pretty much done with dcs, and have got nephews neices etc. just adults now but we only buy for a few of those.I am hoping to make a few presents as well, have fabric and thread ready, just need to get started.

We're living in Belgium, tulpe. Dd goes to a local school so seems only fair to do as the natives do . We leave a welly by the front door, with a beer for St Nick and a carrot for the horse. I think it falls on a Monday this year, so we will do pressies on the 5th. I get my "13th Month" wages at end of November so then I will have mega rush on.
