Xmas tree confusion!

Hiya,

Sorry to be dim but can someone tell me what a pre-lit Xmas tree is? Is it the same as a fibreoptic Xmas tree or something totally different?

We've always had real trees at the insistance of my husband but after last years debacle (1.5 yr old ds and real tree do not mix!) I'm going to buy an artificial one and tell DH after I've bought it!

oatcake prelit means the lights are already on the branches. I have one and it looks nothing like a fibre optic tree. I dont like fibre optic tress and I cannot for the life of me arrange the lights on a normal tree which is why i got a prelit one and i love it! i will never buy a normal tree again.

Right so the lights are stuck on the branches somehow and don't come off and I'd just have to decorate.

ive got a pre lit tree, it fab, it saves soo much time as you dont have to faff about with the lights!

Pre lit has lights on the end of branches doesnt it? I really want one just dp says we have a perfectly good tree already :( tbh I dont tend to get that messed up with normal fairy lights though as we got some really good micro ones a couple of yrs ago and there fab :)

With a normal tree I can never get the lights spead evenly,im hopeless at it! Grin

I try and do it when its dark and then when its done we all watch a christmas film with hot coco :) I cant wait to put the tree up :)

Aw thats a lovely idea Smile. When do you put your tree up? I am one of those people who put their tree up embarrassingly early.i alway try to wait til 1st dec but always end up giving in at end of nov Blush
I just love the cosiness of the house with the tree and decorations up and ds loves it

I usually do it first weekend of Dec so dp can get the decorations down while hes off work :)

I always want to do it earlier Blush

I love the house with the decorations up I hate taking them down it seems to go by so fast :(
