Has anyone's DC got ones of these? Which one is best for a girl who will just be 4 at Christmas? She is still very much into her 'babies'.

TIA

Butterfly that doll is beautiful and I'm sure DD would love it but I think she's still a bit young for it. Her fine motor skills are quite poor, I don't think she could dress it or play with her hair much and she'd just get frustrated.

She does like her babies, but she can't dress these either so mainly puts them to bed and feeds them - that sort of thing.

Which Goatz doll did your DD have and where did you get it from if you don't mind me being nosy?

Yes - DD (4) got this one last Christmas, its lovely, smells of almond.

The clothes are divine ( ours has slightly different clothes to this ). DD has only recently got the hang of the clothes ( she's just 4 ), and is still better at taking them off than putting them on.

Her hair brushes beautifully and DD is also quite adept at this. She puts clips and stuff in her hair. She is much loved. In fact, she came to Ikea with us today. Grin

Thanks I'll keep an eye out in TK Maxx.

Grin at me making clothes, it's a nice idea but I dread to think how they'd turn out.

Ok I looked in TK Maxx today and they had some "Gotz precious day" dolls but they were seriously massive - about the size of a 2yo person Confused - so too big for DD really.

Taffeta I like that doll, I've also been looking at this one vanilla blonde
as it's slightly more like a baby doll and also suitable from 3+. But on the downside it's more expensive. Or just a regular baby doll like this calin which is cheaper but I fear she'll grow out of it quite quickly.

Unfortunately I don't think there's any shops near me that sell corolle dolls so I can't go and look.

Smoopy I can't post a link but if you go to www.bambolina.co.uk they are a fab company and list loads of Corolle and similar. They often mention sizing, if they don't you can email the very helpful owner. You can even search for dolls by age of child.

I bought dd the Calin doll for her first Christmas and she loved her, she smells gorgeous (even now!) and has been much loved.

I think the doll TheButterflyEffect linked to would be more suited to my daughter now, she is 3 this Christmas.
