I'm a sanction now? I was a sanctimonious arse somewhree earlier; sanction is better PMSL

I could do that, the Mn was delicious and a bit off the norm thoough so I will try and find it a bit more.

haha, I didn't even realise I'd done that, sorry! Grin That's what you get for trying to MN when you should be occupying sicky kids Hmm

Lissie, Stupid question but if i use half the ingredients for the cake, does it make one standard 8inch ish size cake?

OracleInaCoracle · 14/10/2010 09:34

it does indeed! I presume you would have to reduce cooking time though.

Could the cake and/or mincemeat be made without alcohol, or would it not be the same? Would tea or something work instead (maybe Chai for the spiciness)? I only ask as I have a family member who is a recovering alcoholic and needs to avoid all alchohol.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/10/2010 14:55

I would have thought so!

My guess is that tea might work but alcohol is the preserver- so make far closer to dates.

I'm so excited about christmas already! I'm going to attempt to make a pudding this year, I've already made my very first christmas cake Grin [proud]
