we did some from the fireplace to where the presents were last year with fake snow from poundland. & yep dd1 believed it but she's only 3.9yo

batteries-for camera, and Christmas toys. less than magical if the toys won't work for lack of them!

I will have to set up the digital camera ready for the day, and buy batteries in early. before the shelves empty just before Christmas.

And dd is old enough to want to visit a Santa's Grotto this year!
