DD2 will be 7mths at xmas. Im really stuck for ideas as she has inherited thousands of toys and clothes from DD1. She really doesnt need anything.

DH thinks we should wrap up some of DD's old toys for her.

Any ideas for 'different' or more unusual gifts for her?

Same problem here, DD2 has inherited ALL dd1's toys so no idea what to get her for christmas, she doesn't need anything at all!
Then we have her 1st birthday on new years eve!!! sigh

So i don't know what you could get but will be watching this thread for ideas myself! :)

Similar problem for DS2 (he's 2 and i've never really solved it).

I have bought him things that i felt i 'missed out' on 1st time round but mostly i buy him less and put money in his bank account Blush

Luckily he's unaware of any of it and i could get away with buying him nothing, it's only really for appearances sake in front of DS1 - how to explain that FC didn't bring your little brother anything? Confused

Wrapping up old toys from you and sister is absolutely fine.

But not from the big red man. She needs something new from him. Ideally large and cheap :)

How about a pop up play tunnel. www.elc.co.uk/Pink-Pop-Up-Tunnel-Tents/123324,default,pd.html

she will grow into it as she crawls/walks and your DD1 might have some sneaky fun in it too :)

Wow that is one thing my DD1 never had, a play tunnel!!! Grin

Thanks for the idea mntotoro!!

My pleasure :)

Something I did with both my dds when they were that age ws to wrap a large box filled with balloons - they absolutely love it - cheap easy and gives you time to go cook dinner :)

Im afraid we already have that tent and tunnel..Thats the problem spoilt DD1 has everything so its hard to know what else to get.

Im planning to get DD2 one of these as DD has. I have this thing about them having the same and DD2 not missing out.

Ive got a few little teethers and shakers too but its nothing compared to DD1's (2.2yrs) list!

Love the box of balloons idea, DD1 would love that :)

I may do the box of balloons too :)

Named stuff is good too.

I'm mostly still stuck for DS2, i think he'll get boring practical stuff like a duvet (only has a cot one atm so i want to get him a big one for his bed) - that at least will make his pile look bigger!
