Has anyone tried this ? Is it very difficult to do, and do you need to be good at sewing/have a machine?

I can't help you I'm afraid, but am interested to see if anyone has done one .

see here I have made something similar and if you put a little pleat in each side of the pocket you will be able to fit in more Quality Street.

In answer to OP it could probably be done on hand or machine, machine would be more durable, handsewing more decorative. Just need to be able to cut and pin accurately I'd think.

pleat? Is that hard to do? Would I need a sewing machine or can it be done by hand?

The kit I had, the pockets were in rows of 5 rather than individual ones, similar to the one demonstrated here (also not my blog)

Maybe I am overcomplicating, it will not be hard, just go for it!
