I have money set aside and I'm giving mostly money so it's a care of shoving money in envelopes. Apart from the odd toy in tesco.com you could say I'm pretty much done

Oh how could you wrap already Sad I have to feel christmassy to wrap, mulled wine 'white christmas' and me on the floor in a mass of paper and ribbons and trimmings...... love it

Yes, I'm getting there. I started in the summer and have made good use of the good offers on at the mo (3for2 at Argos, BOGOF Disney DVDS on Amazon, Summer sales...).

As for knowing what the children want - its easy, when the children see something they want, I tell them to put it on their Christmas lists, and make a mental note and then pop back and get it when they are not around... Luckily my DDs don't change their minds much - they're always happy to receive dressing up, polly pocket and Barbie stuff. If its an off the wall item, If its cheap I'll buy (you can always pass on to another child at a party), or if its not reduced I'll see whether they really want it.

I have done my kids, 6 and 4 so I know what they will ask for. And niece and nephew and one sister. Have a few more adults to buy for and everything for DP, he does change his mind alot. I don't let them watch tv adverts after August lol! DD is Dora mad and DS will be happy with anything made of lego.

And my months of nagging have meant an iPad being delivered tomorrow Shock for me, did not think I would get one and don't know how I will be able to keep it in the box and not open it! You know when you used to nag parents for a pony and not expect to get one, that is what I thought would happen this year!

Now I like to wrap them all at the same time, with a few glasses of wine a few days before when I'm feeling all Christmassy. I work in retail and like to get everything out the way before the chaos starts.
