The Christmas Eve Pyjama thing - don't your DC end up with truck loads of jammies?

DDs particularly, with night dresses? My DD's have lasted 3 years, still big enough, still going strong. Feels daft to buy her more (missing the point I know, but..).

What about a dressing gown or slippers?

Astrophe · 30/09/2010 00:30

don't needf them nappyaddict, as its summer here.

Yesterday there was sale on at our equiv of M&S, and I got her a very pretty knickers and singlet set, which she can wear as PJs in the height of summer, and then will be useful as underwear too. Problem solved! DD2 and DS will get jammies as they need some.

i had never heard of this!! i must have got new night clothes as a kid, but don't remember it.

dd is ridiculously skinny - i threw pj's out after 3 years, when they were not covering her backside any more, but still went round her waist no probs!

may get her some lovely fleecy ones for christmas this year, though, can be vv cold here (-25C some days!!)

I don't get it myself either!!
PJ's can last for 3 dcs here (am I just tight?!)
we'd have hundreds of the things if everyone got new ones each Christmas plus they are about to get a sack load of pressies the following day.....
we do a Christmas Story and hot choc, plus the usual carrot mince pie booze for the big guy

kiss and free - yes ours last a while too, and I'm rather regtetting starting this tradition (for that reason only - I like it a lot in theory). Maybe we will swap it for something else next year. We don't overdo it with pressies on Christmas day - each child gets 3...and its nice to spread out the presents a bit I think.

re. my last post - singlet = vest

"Summer slippers" are a good idea too (in our house ballet pump or flip flop type things)
