We do a 'round robin' in my side of the family, so between my Dad, Sister, Brother and me we buy for one person to the value of £50.

Partners of these also go into a separate round robin.

Then I have my Mum and her partner, the Inlaws, Step-inlaws, DHs brother and DCs of a few friends.

Trying to get the others to do a round robin, too as it saves so much money and, to be honest, none of us are really bothered about presents, we just do it out of habit!

Ladyem · 21/09/2010 18:52

Oops, then of course there is DH and our 2 DCs!! Grin

mollymax · 21/09/2010 18:55

lazycow007 · 21/09/2010 19:03

Only buy for the kids in the family now and make a fuss of everyone else on their birthdays. Much easier.
Have also stopped buying for friends' kids as kids get so much anyway one more little thing (which i have scrimped and searched for) isn't going to be missed let alone played with.
Make life easier and enjoy Christmas for what it is meant to be - being together as a family and having fun!

And that is it.
My DH sticks a cheque in a card for his 2 neices and 1 nephew.
My DB and his family live abroad so we don't bother.

Don't buy for my friends or their DCs anymore.

But I do buy table presents for Christmas lunch - not a present for the table of course.

Oh, and the dog, cat and horse.
