how many lights for 7ft tree?

Had to cut all my lights off my 7ft pre-lit (not anymore its not) tree last year as most of them not working and couldnt get replacments.

So am fancying twinkling fairy lights for the tree this year but how many will make the tree REALLY twinkly??, the twinklier the better.

i have 240 on mine. takes ages to wrap them around though but looks lovely when its finished

so thats 700lights for a 7ft tree

surely thats far too many. but i have seen it on atleast 3 sites

i think im sticking to 240 and seeing how it looks :)

I've just bought a 7ft tree and bought 300 lights. Hopefully that will be enough!
