Christian MNers at New Wine hating camping

I have tried camping , being in a caravan and being off site at New Wine and I don't like any of it.

DH doesn't mind camping and sees it as a means to an end as DC love it.
I find being with the church family cliquey. People don't come over to talk so I'm left feeling rejected. DD14 barely talks to me there as she's off with her friends.

What would you think if someone just stayed off site and was at the sessions but didn't go on to the church village camp site? (Where dh and dc are staying)?
They would have to meet me e.g in the cafe.
I also hate camping because it is so grimy and irritating in general.

DH is very hands on with the dc but I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right or OK.

Sounds like a good compromise to me. So long as you were around in the day. It would be a shame not to take opportunities to mix a bit with the people who seem cliquey or to be there with your family.

Never been to new wine but to something similar that our church is part of and lots of people stay off site instead of camping.

Why would I want to mix with people who are lovely but don't want to mix with me at all?
Also my oldest dd doesn't want to talk to me. Youngest dc needs help ( being neurodivergent) but that would be on DH. He would have to do solo parenting.
I feel a bit bad but I am not enjoying being here and dread another year of this. 😥

Being here highlights so many issues.

I've never been to New Wine, and am a camping refused (I need a comfy bed and proper facilities!), but it sounds as though there's more going on for you.
Are you ok?

@FuzzyPuffling Thank you for asking. I haven't been OK. I have been crying so much. However yesterday was a better day. I talked to more in our church village campsite. Dd spoke to me briefly but dh pointed out she's having fun with her friends.

Sending you a hug, and prayers for a good day today.
