I love the verse Revelation 12:11

"They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death."

I feel like testimony of answers to prayer and stories of how God has done things around us, big or small, are so faith building so I thought it would be lovely to have a happy Sunday thread to share some.

My story is soft and ordinary. No "moment of change" for me.
I was brought up with one Christian parent and one atheist one. I was given free choice. I chose Jesus.
He has been a constant in my life, for which i am very grateful.

That's so beautiful @TheSippyCupSociety thank you for posting, and for reviving this thread. I just had a re-read of it.

That’s ok! It’s a lovely thread!

@Notgivenuphope I've been there.

In my situation, it wasn't the pastoral care, but she took totally the side of the bullies, despite knowing how upset/depressed/suicidal I was.
She took their lies as truth, and told people who said they were concerned about me or had seen the bullying that "there are two sides to every story" which was ironic because she didn't know my side - because she never asked.

I found it harder to forgive her than the bullies in an odd way, because she made the decision not to believe me, or even come and ask for my side of any of the lies they told. In some ways the things I know she said to imply to others that it was entirely my fault hurt me more than the bullying.

In my meaner moments I do find some comfort in knowing that she will be standing one day before God who will be clear that he gave her that position to use for him, and not misuse. Whatever his judgement on that is for him, and him only, but I know in that moment she will know the truth and that gives me some satisfaction that she will know.

Tbh if she came to my door with a bunch of flowers and said, "sorry" I'd probably shut the door in her face.
I have absolutely no interest in speaking to someone who despite all I did for her, and all the things she saw me do for other people, and never seeing me do anything nasty (as she said to me herself) couldn't bring herself to question lies told about me.

Years ago I was in the process of buying a new house. I’d put an offer on and applied for my mortgage and was anxiously waiting for it to all come through. I really wanted my home to be a peaceful refuge for friends and family and one night, while waiting for news, I went to this worship event. It was such a special night with a beautiful sense of God’s presence. I was praying about the house and had this mental image of a calming swirling mist moving around the house. I felt God say, ‘I’m already in your home’. A couple of days later, I got the mortgage approved and everything started moving very quickly.

And true to form, this home really is so peaceful to the point that people visit and remark on the peacefulness. People say they have the best night’s sleep too! I know that’s the presence of God in my home. I’m so grateful for that.

Me and my husband actually shared our testimonies on a YouTube channel.

I grew up with a father who was a satanist and I used to read the satanic bible as a child (I didn’t know what it was).

after some awful awful life experiences he eventually became Christian and then I also did some years later when I because an adult. I never knew anything about Christianity and then it just kind of fell into my lap and turned my life around.

there is something really powerful in the dark but God is more powerful 🙌

Seeming is this seems be a forum for women. I will share what I have seen God do for people looking for childbirth.
I have seen God bless a couple in church with the gift he gave me at 17 and them being has blessed them for childbirth by God by showers of Blessing in Ezekiel.
It is in God's plan for peoples life for some women childbirth, some though may seek this through prayer to if it be the will of God. It is a promise of God alone.
I also wanted to tell you I know of a case of a woman who was having problems with childbirth delivery and she was told her baby would still born. With church intervention she drank Holy water which you can obtain in like a Catholic church for free and and the baby woke in her belly and she was delivered and she fulfilled a promised commitment to God.

My DD, the most cheerful believer you can imagine, had a stillborn child. We prayed so hard for that baby. Sometimes God answers prayers differently.

Justmerach · 25/08/2025 10:02

My aunt who is a Christian who I deeply respected shared with me her story how she went through several still born in her life and it was a moving story and the pain that she suffered. She did though end up with three children of her own and she cared very compassionately for them, but also miracles/intervention can happen as well. It is all the will of God and no human can promise a child to anyone, but God alone.

That's so sad. You're so right about God answering prayers differently.
