DD1 (2yo) was diagnosed today with burst ear drums...but she has a whole host of other symptoms which i wondered if i could put past you...
7 weeks ago - D and V, high temp, eventually diagnosed with ear infection and told to treat with nurofen/calpol. gp wouldn't prescribe ABs.
2/3 weeks ago - a few slightly pustular spots appear on her face. assume it's chicken pox. GP visit two days later doesn't confirm, also prescribed Flucoxacillin for possible impetigo (which she wouldn't take, it's disgusting stuff). No more spots appear, so it's all restricted to her face

Last week, Tues GP visit, because some spots not healing. Plus her feet are itchy - GP thinks perhaps athlete's foot. so add fucidin and canesten into the mix, she's already on Aveeno for eczema.
Wednesday i take her to GP with oozing ears and told to go home and give her calpol and not to worry....
Thurs/Fri/Sat she screams with pain, tells me her ears hurt/take my ears off mummy....spots on face get worse...out of hrs GP eventually prescribes Amoxycillin...which we are hoping might clear up the skin problems and the ear infection. Her face is now covered in spots.

My questions are
how long before we know if the ABs are working?
could her ears be related to chicken pox?
is there such a thing as a Slow Burn Chicken Pox?!! I mean, i don't know why she's still developing spots now so long after?
should i ask for a referral to a dermatologist?

She hasn't been WELL for over two months... am just a bit sad for her really...

any thoughts? sorry to be boring about it. just not sure what to do....

thank you weegiemum that is much appreciated. that list sounds much better than my rambling note!! she's, give or take, much better today, so am hopeful for a quick recovery and then maybe a trip to the gp to sort the rest of her out!! she LOOKS rubbish though!! ha
