Residual chestiness after a chest infection?

Sorry another one from me! They are both at it at the moment.

DD2 aged 13 months had a chest infection a month ago - given antibiotics and temp and worst of the cough cleared up. However she still sounds like she has catarrh in her upper chest and is still coughing a bit. She does however also have a slight runny nose so obviously has yet another cold.

I spoke to GP on phone a couple of weeks ago and mentioned remaining chestiness and cough and he said absolutely nothing to worry about as she is fine in herself (apart from hand foot and mouth last weekend!) and no temp.

But i am worried that the catarrh should have cleared by now?

any experiences?
thanks

Can anyone tell me - is it impossible to have a chest infection without a temperature? The problem has not gone away ...

I am doing a dairy free trial just in case that is it (as family history) but i am not holding my breath. Just wondering if there is any chance that the infection hasnt cleared after all? But she doesnt have a temperature..
