You need to get Movicol to help soften his poo.

Either that or get him to eat figs/prunes.

Hi You can get suppositories to help relieve the immediate discomfort but try giving califig i give to all mine when they constipated drink plenty of orange juice too or pear juice (mine won't eat prunes!!)

Mine has just been prescribed lactulose to help soften her poo. She was crying in the night "I don't want to do any poos any more"

My dd has an anal fissure though so slightly different.

I've been recommended to make sure she drinks plenty, lots of fruit, weetabix with warm milk (?)
