Arrrrggghhhh ! Cough cough cough cough

DD has a cough and cold. She's not to bad during the day (a bit snotty etc. but no temperature) but as soon as she goes to bed, she just coughs. She's now on her third night of hardly any sleep and is wrecked

Any ideas to help her please ? She's 3

Someone is bound to say it at some point, but just in case they don't: have you tried rubbing vicks on her feet? Sounds bonkers but I found it helped a lot. And buttercup cough mixture - soothing if nothing else.

Interesting - the symptoms you describe are exactly like my 19m old DD.
Did the vicks work? And can you give Buttercup to a 19m old?

Has she only been coughing like this at bedtime since having her cold this time...?

whenever i had cough like that as a child my Mum would say "turn over and lie on your side or other side" it seems to help my ds too
