I know all babies get colds and ds is more exposed due to his big sister bringing bugs home from nursery but he's literally had a cold for about a month now non stop. prior to that he had another 3 weeker then a weeks break then yet more snot.

he had a temp at the beginning that went away after 3 days but he's literally full to the brim with catarrgh (sp). I have to change his cot sheet everyday as it's coveerd in green blobs and he coughs up big gobbits every morning.

By the eve he's generally a bit clearer but I've never known such a litlle body be so full of gunk! he's ok otherwise laughing, giggling, eating, drinking milk, trying to crawl, v active. The only other thing is gagging on the mucus makes him gag and be sick sometimes esp in the morning.

DoI go to GP?? Is it something more sinister than a cold? Just doesn't seem to be abating and al getting concerned. My GP is hugely dismissive whenever I take a dc to her so am holding off taking him unless necessary.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like he could have an upper respiratory infection.

Is his nose running / crusty?

Does he sneeze lots?

Colds are generally 7-10 days long.
