red scaly rash on 6 week old baby. do i need to do anything?

dd appears to have a scaly ash on her cheecks and forehead, and dry yellow bits on her ears. we've only used water and a dab of olive oil on her. do i need to do anthing else?

It sounds similar to a rash my DC have had at that age, I covered it in Sudacrem and it worked a treat. It is worth giving it ago if she is not allergic to it.
