Ds is 16 weeks and for the last week has been having these funny turns.
The first time I was holding him facing away from me and his whole body went stiff and I could feel him shaking it only lasted a few seconds.
Other times he has been in his bouncy chair or on his play mat and his arms have flung back like a gust of wind has took his breath.
Today was sat up and his arms went straight infront of him with his fists clenched that tight they went purple we couldn't undo them and he was making a growl sort of cry
He has got silent reflux so didn't know if it was this or just my baby getting exited or something else.

HI,

I would make an appointment with your Gp.

Write down each time you notice your ds having these episodes including what happened...shaking, muscle spasm etc, which side was effected, how long they lasted and how long it took your son to recover.

It may be nothing, but it is always better to let the doctor assess your son and say he is fine than for something to be missed or you being left to worry.

Is there any chance you could film him having a funny turn before taking him to the GP?

I can only echo what everyone else has said, make an appointment.

Sorry that sounds bossy.

Thanks I've been to gp so many times since he was born didn't want to come across paranoid.
Both arms fly out at the same time and do it a couple of times then stop not sure what his legs do when he does that.
Definatly going to see Gp as this morning he was on my bed and at first looked like he was trying to roll but with his neck arched back and legs so he was sort of bent like a banana he did this a couple of times then cried he has now gone back to sleep.

Thankyou Riven I have seen some of your posts so know what a hard time you have with Dd.
We saw a pead two weeks ago as Ds went blue and was rushed to hospital and they said the blue was down to reflux and he was started on Domperidone and omprozol(sp?)
We then had a routine appointment with another pead as Ds had broncoilitis at 20 days and has had chest infections since and I mentioned the arms flying out and Ds gasping and he said it was apnea due to reflux.
The other episodes have happened since seeing the pead.
I will make an emergancy appointment for Tuesday x
