If you've given calpol + nurofen to reduce temperature then they've thrown up 10 minutes later..

Sorry, but you can't risk giving them any more until the alloted time - you have to assume they've absorbed it all. The risk of overdose is too great if you don't.

I would recommend giving calpol, and then giving nurofen half-way through the interval you need until the next dose of calpol. There's no reason to give both at the same time.

Agree with MW. do usual physical cooling things, cool room, few clothes lots to drink, but you have to wait 4 hours between calpol doses.

PS. We have got GP to prescribe rectal paracetamol so if vomiting is going on, ie gastro enteritis, rectal is first in line. its brilliant!
