My DS says that his heart is beating really loudly

My DS aged 5 has mentioned in the past few weeks that he can sometimes feel his heart beating really loudly. He has been running aroung the house a bit and has just run up to me to feel his heart, which I can feel beating really strongly, even through his jumper.

Is this normal?

He's been running around the house, yes it's normal.

I think I just worried as I remembered the other day that I took DS to a doctor when he was a baby, who said that he had a heart murmur, and that it would probably disappear, and I have never had it checked out to see if it has disappeared.
