Verrucas - banana skins or nail varnish...?

Discovered small verruca on 8 yr old's foot today, have been reading lots of old posts on here re the success of banana skins so am going to give that a try.

I put some nail varnish on it as a seal to prevent spreading (and have also read this can get rid of it), has anyone else had any success with this? Also, would you just add more nail varnish or (stupid question time) would you need to remove with nail polish remover before adding more???

I just kept adding the nail varnish each day or as needed. Didn't use remover as it tends to come away from the skin after a while anyway. It seemed to do the trick more effectively than banana skin.

cheers, that's reassured me (felt a bit bonkers painting his foot with No7 this morning!)

Or ... duct tape. Just apply small piece, reapply if verruca still there when first piece falls off. Works the same way as nail varnish.
