Wwyd?

Dd 3.6 has temp of 103.8, very sleepy, no appetite. Ate a weetabix yesterday but threw it up straight away. Has had nothing else to eat since fri morning and that was just a few mouthfulls of cereal. She was sent home early from preschool as she was clearly not well.

She's spent the day dozing on the sofa, doesn't want to do anything or eat, is drinking a bit. I've given her calpol which seems to bring her temp down for an hour or so but then it shoots back up again.

Docs is shut today so nhs direct or just wait and see?

what is his tongue like? and the inside of his cheeks?

maxybrown · 28/03/2010 19:50

Will not open his mouth!!!

He will not have ice pop ice lolly ice cube...he did just eat a little bit of KFC that DH brought home, which ws salty obviously he then drank almost a whole carton of Ribena He stops very quickly but tbh I don't think he can breathe very well and so drinking eating is even harder, obviously so he just doesn't bother

try bribing him with chocolate buttons!
If he's after salty food and drinking juice it sounds as though he could be on the mend, but best to get him checked as you are doing tomorrow anyway.

Ok, I have the weirdest child in the world - he does not eat chocolate! Or cake or anything like that! he is very slim anyway so losing the 2lbs hasn't helped him much.

I still think it is his sinuses (sp?) his eyes are a little dark now and still moaning intermittently about his ears and his nose

He just drank a carton of ribena pixie yay! My Mum bought him some the other day to try to tempt him

Glad your ds seems to be a bit better maxybrown.
I just took dd to doc, temp still quite high and hasn't eaten since Thursday night. Turns out she has really swollen tonsils which is why she's not eating and sleeping all day. The doctor gave me some antibiotics for her so hopefully that should clear it up. Just dd2 to worry about now who seems to be coming down with the same thing

Took him to docs this morning and he has very red ears he said and obviously some kind of bacterial infection somewhere for his temp to never go below 38.

Hope your little ones pick up soon. I thought DS had tonsil troubles but it turns out not so!
