Is there a headache/vomiting/slight temp bug doing it's rounds?

Thankyou

DD had for 4 days - it lingers really horrid!

Elibean · 24/03/2010 17:24

4 days? 7 days?! poor loves. I really really hope we have the short variety!

So far, after spectacular vomiting episode at 2ish, a big sleep, and now watching CBeebies with white face and dark rings, but no more vomit. She's had water, and a dry cracker. Not counting chickens though...

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 24/03/2010 17:27

I hope he's well enough to go back to school tomorrow, I've had enough of listening to Nickelodeon, it makes me sleepy so I can't get anything done

I hope all your little ones are on the mend

Yep I had it, for roughly 48 hours.

Belle, sounds to me as though you're moving into the convalescent phase...I usually know we're there when I start wishing desperately for school/nursery to take them back! Here's hoping.

dd white as a sheet sucking lemon lollipop. Kill or cure...

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 24/03/2010 18:11

He's not eating alot, he looks OK though, he's on the other laptop so I think he's well enough to go to school tomorrow.

Ah, I thought he was well enough to go back to school tomorrow until I saw the toilet. Maybe not.

He seems OK though, damn diarrhoea!!

Apparently, the diarrhoea is the part that lingers on after the vomiting stops...poor ds, and poor you.

dd perked up after lollipop/s, ate some almost plain pasta, drank water, and started shrieking around with her sister

Is this possible with a virus type vomiting bug?! Seems very short lived. She's now eating a banana and has some colour back in her cheeks...I probably shouldn't trust it, but if she's had no D or V by tomorrow morning and sleeps well, I might

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 24/03/2010 19:47

He's eating, he's sitting laughing at a joke site. I wouldn't have known he had the slops if I hadn't have gone into the loo, bleugh!! His seemed short lived, maybe your dd has the same bug??

Came searching MN for this thread as DD just got home from hospital today after this bug
started vomming Tuesday 6am but had been off food from Sunday with temp n headache.
Vomited 50 x tuesday by wed am was so ill looking I took her to GP who after 2 checks on heartrate and capillary refill offered to call an ambulance.
So there we are
home after 24 hrs on drip...
Now got nasty viral rash thing, still got temp and still very weak and wobbly.
It's a bloody wicked bug

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 25/03/2010 21:04

Oh piffle. I really do hope she's on the mend really soon. Make sure you look after you, try and sleep when you can, plenty to drink etc, it would be horrid if you caught it aswell.

Piffle That sounds like full blown Norovirus. With bells on. Poor love, hope she's better v v soon.

Belle, no diarrhoea at all here - dd went to nursery this morning, still pale with dark circles but not actually ill. Still off food though. Hope your ds is ok now, and Bexx's too!

Marne · 26/03/2010 16:20

I'm in the SW, we had the full blown D&V last month, this week dd2 and i have had a flu like bug, D but no V, head ache, high temp, dd only had it for 2 days, i have had it for 4 and now dh has it. Lots going around at the moment. Roll on easter holidays.

Piffle · 27/03/2010 21:07

they said no to NV as she had no diarrhoea. But said some gastritis/gastric flu.
She is making a good recovery.
As for me HA HA
I have had bad sinus and chest infection for 3 weeks, so am totally on the ropes but also finally getting better, I think your kids getting so sick means your body HAS to fix itself to cope.

Hugs to y'all with suffering kids, this bug is EVIL
Luckily no one else here caught it, in fact no one else at school has had it either.
Tis a mystery where she caught it
