4 year old DS with pain just above penis

A temperature arrived tonight, has eaten for the last couple of days but not huge amounts. Has a pain above his penis shaft inside he says. Seems okish, but low. Pre school says he went to the loo 6 times yesterday for a wee and kept holding his willie but can't help more than that as they weren't watching. Any ideas?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Cystitis by the sounds of it, it's rare in boys. Can you get him to do a wee sample and take him to the GP/out of hours? Has he been bumped/hit himself on something?

Make sure he drinks to stop any infection moving towards the kidneys.

Do you think I ought to do something about it now or just keep him sleeping and then take him to the doc in the morning. He isn't what I would call 'ill' and certainly not worried in the short term, was just worried about the pain in that area especially as it is a couple of days and not much outwardly wrong if you know what I mean. He is definitely off key and now with the temperature I'm slightly more worried. He is tired too, but he is my sleepy boy, slept till 8 and went and had a sleep which we woke him up from after two and a bit hours and admittedly didn't go to sleep straight away, but is asleep now. He is a brave soilder and rarely complains or gets ill even when the others do. Something is telling me its not right. Hate mothers intuition sometimes!

Have you asked him if he's hurt himself and have you had a look?

Maybe give him some paracetamol when he wakes up and pop him to the GP in the morning unless you are worried tonight or he gets worse.

He hasn't hurt himself that I know of but frankly he could easily have as he play fights all the time with his older brother. I think I will wait till tomorrow and see how we go. Thanks for help.

I hope he's OK.
