Aaaarrggghhh.....

I'm being very calm, positive, happy Mummy but actually want to kidnap him and take him far, far away from the hospital!

I've got to get him there for 7.30am, no breakfast and then hopefully he'll be on the morning list.

Wish us luck!

Good Luck.

Hope evrything goes well. Is he scared?

DottyDot · 10/03/2010 18:19

He's not scared - I'm petrified....

He's sad he's going to miss his friends for the next couple of weeks (bless) but he's got no concept of possible pain/discomfort.

He's 5 and the play specialist nurse was fantastic when we went for the pre-op - explained about anaesthetic, canula etc. but she didn't mention that it will be sore afterwards, so I'm not sure if I should?

I might ask the nurses tomorrow - maybe it's best if we just take it as it goes and see how he is after the op.

I wouldn't mention it but I would make sure you are there when he wakes up.

DottyDot · 10/03/2010 18:23

oh yes - am going to be there (and probably complete pain for all the staff) all the time and am staying overnight with him.

Breathe.....

Is your DP going to be there to help you?

DottyDot · 10/03/2010 20:19

She's got work in the morning (she only started her job 11 days ago so can't really swing time off at the moment!) but will then be able to get to the hospital mid-afternoon for a couple of hours before going home to sort Ds1 out - I'll be climbing the walls by then so will be very glad to see her!

Thats a pity. I'll be thinking about you in the morning. Hope evrything goes well.
