my 3.6 ds1 was prescribed melatonin a while ago by paed, without going into the whys and whens, just wondering if its still ok to give it when he has a bad cold? Will it cause any problems? He also has sleep apnea...cant really find anything on google and cant get hold of any paed to speak to....

My 7yr-old has been on melatonin for a couple of years now. He takes it even when he has a cold or is otherwise ill.

Should add though that I'm not a medical professional so I'd keep trying to contact the Paed if you are worried.

Would NHS Direct or a pharmacist be able to help?
