DS constantly has patches of sores around his testicles, bottom

have been told by dr its ezcema and have steriod type cream to apply as and when its bad.

today his testicles/sack are raw/red the area from here to his bottom is so sore its cracked and bled - 2 days ago this was clear.

I questioned if this was ezcema as Ive not heard of it in this area but Dr said it is very common

It could well be Tinea Cruris

A fungal infection caused by the same organism that causes athletes foot. Often called 'Jock Itch' and commonly found in teenage boys and young men who do a lot of sport. Very contagious. Caused by the fungus growing in sweaty folds of skin.

Treatment is by applicaton of cream as described in the link. It can be serious if it spreads widely. The skin can bleed if scratched and is very sore.

The eczema treatment will not cure it if it is the condition I describe. I have never heard of eczema in that location.
