Hi, Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice - my son potty trained at 2 1/2 and was soon dry day and night. Then around age 5 when he was playing football would often have a bit of wee on his trousers which he said just came out. Lately this has been happening more and more often in the morning his pants / jammies have a wet patch but its not that much. He says he doesnt really feel when it happens so cant say much but doesnt want to go to the doctor because it would be embarrassing. I said I would check if anyone on here had any advice. Thanks a lot.

You really do need to get this checked out as it is not normal and will be taken seriously. My DD has a similar problem, though it is now much less frequent, and she was immediately referred to a consultant. I was quite surprised at the thoroughness with which she was examined.

They never did find out what was causing it, but I do keep an eye on it, and will return to the doctors' if it gets any worse.

Just reassure your DS that doctors spend their lives looking at bottoms etc and there is nothing to be embarrassed about.
