DS has singles measles jab 11 days ago, on 8th day was sick and has had on/off temperature, very pale and dark eyed and totally clingy and whingy. Aaargh. Anway he has hardly eaten a thing since fri and keeps going to his tongue and moaning, I know measles can cause spots in the mouth but can the jab cause discomfort too??

measles jabs can cause mild measles symptoms a week or two after the jab. as you say spots in the mouth are part of measles but not listed as side effect, so perhaps he just happens to have a sore throat? Usually just get bit of temp and slight rash. Lasts 2-3 days. If goes on longer get it checked. If Ds had MMR the mumps part of the vaccine causes mild mumps symptoms 3-4 weeks later - that surprises a lot of people !
