23 month old with a bit of sweetcorn stuck under his gum. Suggestions?

It isn't bothering him. It's just a tiny bit of black charred sweetcorn. It has slipped up under the gum above and in front of one of his top middle teeth. I can see it when he grins.

Brushing hasn't got it out. It's been 2 days now.

Dentist?

Or will it work its way out?

Any experience or suggestions?

I had this myself, eventually the hygenist had to get it out, as it was starting to hurt from all the poking I had done to it he used a small interdental brush..you can get them in the chemist.

It's not very straightforward even checking on it. Ds not too keen on me poking around. Don't think he'd let a dentist or a hygenist go near it!

I will check on it when he wakes up.

rub some calgel or bonjela on it over the next few days..get the one that had the numbing ingredient..lidocaine.If not gone in a couple of days, head to dentist. Don't poke at it.. you could create an infection
