Could creche have made DS ill with my food?

I put DS, 7 months, into the creche at my gym yesterday and they fed him his lunch - which was food that I had made and packed. He drank water there, which I hadn't provided.

Today, like in a scene from the Exorcist, he projectile vomited over our bed, me, himself and the wall. He's also had one loose nappy. So could the creche possibly have passed him the bug, or is it more likely my food or something else entirely??

What did you give him?

I would say it is much more likely a bug. Mixing with other children who could be harbouring a bug - sharing toys which have probably been in mouths.

He could have picked up a bug from anywhere, or it could have been the food or any other food he ate.

It's just part of life though, not really something that can be 'blamed' on anyone.

Would guess its a bug doing the rounds - germs so easily passed round in places like that.

Unlikely to be connected to the food.

Vomiting from food poisoning will usually happen within a few hours of eating the food. It is most likely a bug that he has caught anywhere and could have been incubating for a few days.

Ah, makes sense he could have got it from any place. I was worried whoever fed him didn't wash their hands, but I'm sure they all do that.

It was a courgette gratin he had yesterday - nothing he had not had before. Its scary when that happens though. I am still cleaning up now - fluid went right through the duvet, bottom sheet and mattress protector.
